These are my favorite calf compression sleeves for running. I got a pair as a gift a couple of years ago and they became a staple on my longer runs, so I finally decided to invest in a 2nd pair. They are pricey but worth the cost! I got another pair on sale from a major athletic brand, and I'm not even wearing them because they don't compare to these ones. The 2XU sleeves are tight without being uncomfortable, provide exactly the right amount of compression, cover my full calf (ankle to knee), and aren't too hot. Other brands I've tried have been so thin or loose that I don't think they did anything; I don't think many other calf sleeves out there are specifically meant for running like these ones. The sizing guide was accurate for me; just be warned they can be a little tough to take off.

I've been training for a 5k and a 10k that's coming up in a few months so I was trying to run twice a week but my legs were not healing fast enough in between the runs. I purposely got the sleeves instead of the socks so I can wear them more than once in between each wash where as I would have to wash the socks after each run.I don't know if there is a right or wrong way to wear them but based on the picture on the box and another picture of a customer wearing them, it seems like the darker shade is supposed to be worn on the shins. However I wear them with the darker color on my calf. The shape of the darker shaded side looks like an outline of a calf muscle so that's where it should go. But it could be depending on what you want to use it for, to prevent shin splints (facing the front?) or to prevent charlie horses (facing the back?).I've also worn them on runs and only after runs to see which I liked best. I don't see much of a difference between the two but I'm sure as long as you're wearing the sleeves your legs won't go through as much stress as opposed to if you don't wear them at all.I have 16 inch calves so I got a size Medium. I will warn you right now, the first time putting these on were extremely difficult and removing them is even worse. After putting them on a few times it isn't so bad anymore but it does not get any easy taking them off. I try to sleep in them but because they're so tight I usually take them off in the middle of the night. My legs always feel better the next day so even with the discomfort, I LOVE THEM!

Lemme start by saying: I am NOT a runner. I wouldn't run if my butt was on fire. But my vein specialist wanted to buy support socks. I've worn support socks before and they are very uncomfortable. They put too much pressure on my feet. So I was looking for a suitable alternative. I tried the toeless support socks. Again, very uncomfortable. They bunched up and by the end of the work day I could barely walk. Then I came across the 2XU brand. I thought I'd give them a try. Not expecting anything any better than all the other calf sleeves I've tried. Holy crap! I LOVE these!! I look forward to putting them on. At the end of the day I don't wanna take them off!! They don't make my feet swell like every other sleeve I've tried and like the toeless compression socks I tried!!! I barely even notice that I have them on!!The final test will be Monday when I wear them to work. I got them after work on Friday so I couldn't test them out that way. But I have been wearing them ALL weekend just get a feel for them and teach myself the tricks to getting them on. So far I am in love with 2XU calf sleeves!!I've put a few more pairs in my Amazon cart. After I test them out Monday at work I may or may not be buying more. If they work like I'm hoping they will I'll be ordering a color for everyday of the week!!

I've owned a pair of these sleeves for 16 months, wearing them all day, every day. They've improved my blood circulation issues, and have eliminated my shin splints. They've also held up really well, despite being worn constantly. The only runs in them were caused by velcro, an excited dog's claw, and a serrated edge of a large bucket - things I should've avoided in the first place. I highly recommend this product to anyone, whether they're an athlete or not. They're comfortable, look nice, and are effective at what they're designed to do. I recently purchased additional pairs of these sleeves, and plan to continue to always wear these.

Great sleeves. I use these for running, exercising and sometimes just to get compression on a leg I have had previous dvt's and swelling when I walk too much. I really like this product, it fits true to size. In fact, you would be surprised that your size is actually a lot smaller than one would think. It is important to measure and follow the suggested sizing chart.

These are too long and caused blisters on my achilles because they rub back and forth during a long run. They do help with calf pain, but unfortunately they cause a pain of their own.

I am 50 and run about 5 miles a day...been having lots of cramping in my calves and decided to try these...on my first run they performed great. Not sure on their longevity, but they did as advertised. I have a 15" calf so chose the mediums thinking tighter fit was better than loose being that i'm in the juncture between two sizes - fit is snug but feels good and did not leave much too much "squished impression" on my leg after 50 minutes of running. These worked for me.

They're good, but NOT the same material and quality as the 2XU Performance Run Socks. I was very pleased with how well my socks lasted, but they were squeezing my feet too much. After trying another brand of calf sleeves, I decided to return to 2XU. They're better than the other brand, but definitely not what I was expecting after owning the Performance Run Socks.Pros: Tight enough, if you size rightThin, so you don't notice them as much under pants, etc.Decent fabricCons: Not the same fabric as the socks of the same name
