I love this fan. It's compact. Screws into a regular light bulb, and puts out a ton of air for the size.We have recessed lights in our basement, so my options for a fan were a floor fan or box fan. My cats constantly knock over our box fan, and floor fans are expensive and with a toddler, I'm on guard constantly trying to keep him away from it with his little fingers. This little fan with a light just screws in and adds air circulation in seconds. I didn't realize at first, but my husband did use a bulb extension with the fan in the recessed lighting. So that's something important to know. It would not have reached if he hadn't. They're pretty cheap though. We get them for around $8.The fan is heavy duty and has settings. The only thing I can't seem to figure out so far is how to stop it from turning itself on. It has a time delay setting and one of the kids must have hit it, so it'll come on now randomly. The light is super bright for just being a single light. It has a dimmer, and it will go yellow and a kinda blueish tint. I really only use the bright setting because it's a basement. But if you wanted it to be dimmable and have different light settings, this is a great fan/light for the money. It's definitely a value at the listed price. I know I got mine on review, but I'd totally buy it at full price and will probably be getting a couple more when money allows. Having a couple in the basement would probably help keep mold at bay.Overall this is a great little item. I did dock a star because it keeps coming on randomly and I can't seem to find a setting for shutting that off.

I’m suprised at how well this works, it’s awesome! It really blows a lot of air! I absolutely love that you get a controller too and get to decide IF it’s spinning, how fast and the light: warm color, cold color light, dimness, everything. This is actually great. One of those gems that you find randomly.Don’t hesitate if you don’t trust it, trust me: it’s great. For this price? Get 5 of them. Ideal for someone who’s on a budget but what’s something cool.

This is a lightweight socket fan with an infrared remote control and five fan blades. The remote doesn't come with AAA batteries and requires two. The listing states the fan can be screwed into any lamp holder, be we discovered that's provided it's not a can light. An extender is not part of the package. It has five fan blades that snap into the fan, and doing that takes a little pressure. The fan has some nice features controlled by the remote. Light temperatures are neutral light, yellow light, white light and night light Three wind speeds, high, medium and low speeds and a timer button allowing you to time it for two or four hours. The remote has a memory function. I appreciate the fan is also controlled by the wall switch and when turned on is still set to the coordinates I'd set when I turned the fan off.We initially got it to screw into a can light downstairs but will have to purchase the extender elsewhere. Right now it's running in a storage closet where it puts out a strong breeze and is quiet in operation. I rated it four stars due to the lack of an extender and batteries for the remote. Despite that I think the price is reasonable for the features the fan does have. So illuminate your space with the versatile 3-color LED socket fan light with remote control. Enjoy comfort at the click of a button.

YES!!!! What a clever idea!!! We have a huge area in our basement that is open for business, with one "room" semi-finished with workout equipment, and other areas not so finished and used for storage. However, the ceilings are not finished (that's a for-later project), and the high ceiling is dotted with those old porcelain pull-chain light bulb fixtures. These light/fans work perfectly in them (yes I got more). Just pull-chain the light on, then attach that pull chain cord (or string, whatever you used) to the ceiling (I wrapped mine up, secured it with a wire tie, and added a little hook in the rafter to hold the pull-string above the fan), then take out the old bulb (carefully, if it’s gotten hot use a glove or mitt) and just screw this in like a light bulb. It is easy peasy, but given it’s shape it’s a tad bit more cumbersome than changing a light bulb, but no biggie. And I like all three light settings very much. I need the bright white for cleaning and searching storage, but we prefer the warm light when using the fitness equipment. And the night-light is nice to keep this otherwise completely dark basement visible upon first entry. As for the fan, I was pleasantly surprised at how much air it moved! As most basement owners know (esp of older houses) air flow is key, so I had box fans strategically set up and that was good, but these are better. They are out of our way and working like a proper ceiling fan, pulling air up. The added air flow is very noticeable, and they look nicer too.And the remote makes it all work, I can change light settings, turn the fan off and on with the click of the remote, no need to find dangling pull-chains in the dark any more, nor climb up a ladder to switch anything up (as said the ceilings are high, as much as I wanted a brighter light at times (and the white is bright!) I am never going to get a ladder and climb just to switch to a brighter bulb temporarily). *My personal tip is to put some velcro on the back of that remote right away and attach it to a wall near the entry, and think of it like a light switch. It's a nicely heavier remote and the back is not completely flat but I made the velcro work. And then train everyone to leave it there!*I will note that mine did not come with any directions and you do have to slide the fan blades in, but everything is pretty intuitive. I did put a blade in backwards the first time (not paying attention), so just look at the product photo, you can see how the grooved side goes up. And I was concerned that maybe I didn't push the blades in far enough, I didn't feel a clear "click", but I must have, they don't fly out when the fan spins lol.The only question left is how long do they last? I’ll see! For the convenience of the remote, the three light options, the needed airflow, and the price, I don’t mind changing them as often as I would an LED light bulb. If it doesn’t last that long I’ll report back.
