This 4-1/4 inch diamond bit cut through brick like butter. Very quality tool, works as designed. This investment save me several hundred on the installation of my dryer duct. Shipping was fast and great packing. I’m not a plumber, but this tool made the job very easy.

I drilled for a ventilator over the stove to move the hot air to the out side thru a brick wall. Worked perfect. Quick job.

I needed a 1 1/2" hole cut 5" deep in red brick and mortar in the side of my house for a water hydrant with out breaking the brick or cracking the mortar and it did just that. Easy to use and smooth with no hammer. A little rocking motion helped it cut faster. Easiest part of the job, very happy with it.

This core bit really works as advertised and beyond. I had to core out an external wall for a mini-split install. The wall is drywall, insulation and 8” of cinder block; not all the cells in these type of walls are concrete filled, but I won the jackpot and hit concrete and a 5/8” rebar. The concrete was easy, the rebar took a little longer, but it got thru. No hammer impact, just slow drilling with light pressure on the drill. The only downside is the guide bit; the set screw comes out due to the vibration, no matter how tight it is. My suggestion is to drill the pilot hole just with the guide bit, then use the bit and core to score the hole. Once it gets going, you can do without the guide bit.

When I opened the box, there is a sticker saying this isn't for concrete. But I hooked it up to my rotary hammer drill and drilled a curb hole for a French drain and this thing worked like a charm. Only problem is it was heavy to my drill bit connection for my SDS plus adapter kept breaking. Took a couple days just because of the adapter, but this drill bit delivered and didn't break.

It worked. I was able to drill through triple brick. It took awhile, and I would suggest stopping from time to time and allow the bit to cool down. There is a sticker affixed to it that specifically says not to use the hammer drill function, so heed its warning.Only downside is it’s a bit heavy, which I’m sure all coring bits are. It’s a workout on your arms for sure.

Had to bore through the foundation of a new home to install a replacement water main. High aggregate concrete block, with plenty of excess mortar along the way. This core bit did the trick with a traditional electric hand drill. Took a while but it left a smooth hole and minimized damage to the block wall (which is why I elected to use a core drill rather than just blasting through with a hammer drill). Worked like a charm.

The center drill I found also came loose or was wobbly, once I started to core it was working good but then got stuck halfway and half the teeth Broke off.Used for 5 minutes.

Went through 12 inches of hard poured cement with large rocks in it. Took a few hours to avoid burning up the drill (A Bosch Bulldog). Takes a fairly powerful drill as mine was about limit for a 4 inches hole.I used water while drilling. And took out the core bit from the hole every couple of minute to dunk in it in a 5 gallon water bucket.I have no idea how many holes I'll be able to drill with it but it still seems in good shape.

I ordered the 4.25 core bit with pilot so I could install a 4" dryer vent in my new house. I'm so glad I went with 4.25" but instead of 4" (I actually got the idea from these reviews on Amazon). The little bit of space around the duct was so helpful.I had to drill through 8" of hard concrete. I asked for quotes from several plumbers and a few local "handymen", nobody even wanted to quote this! They said it would be a huge project and really difficult. Well, this core bit did the job in less than ten mins! Literally 9 mins. I was amazed. A few things I will note, DEFINITELY use a powerful drill. I rented a 1" roto hammer drill from home depot for $40, wellll worth it. It went through 8 inches of concrete like it was butter. Another thing, if you use a hammer drill, you prob need to order an adapter. I made the mistake of not ordering this until AFTER I received the core bit, and I was forced to wait a few more days until the adapter was delivered (wasn't available in any local stores). Also, the adapter couldn't fit the pilot bit, so I took the advice of some of these reviews and I made a "holder" out of a wood plank (see photo). During the initial drilling, the bit would've jumped all over the place and damaged the wall if I didn't use this idea. I can't really speak for the longevity of this core bit, but I drilled through 8 inches of hard concrete and the bit still looks perfect.

Like many other commentors I was adding an bathroom exhaust to the outside. A long deep coring tool looked really promising and at this price point I took the plunge. Initially I purchased the Bosch coring bit but that sucker was expensive for just a 4' deep hole saw. And to top it all off they didn't have a Bosch bit adapter in stock. So I put it on order for the next day or so. When I saw this on Amazon I was thinking hey this is a great cost effective solution I can return the Bosch. The bit started out great by cutimgt through the brick like butter however cutting through the wood was a major exhaustive battle for me. The night fell. I even tried to finsh the cut with my 4' wood hole saw and that is when I discovered that this hole saw is not really coring a standard 4' hole. As a result I could not get my wood saw past the brick. Finally on the next day picked up the Bosch adapter and decided to sacrifice the Bosch to finish the job. I was able to open up the hole to a proper 4 3/8 which allows proper fitment. Because I used that the deep coring bit first it made finishing with the Bosch a breeze. But I paid a high price in the end. I am not certain I would have been any better off if I had just started out with the Bosch because it was much to shallow too core through about 9 inches of material
