These hose splitters have the threaded ends screwed into the housing. I have found that if you leave the hose attached for a long time (like watering livestock), the end corrodes just enough that when you try to remove the hose, the whole threaded end unscrews, too. This makes it almost impossible to get it disassembled. If used temporarily, it might be fine.

These are fairly heavy and rugged!! They are a little small on inside and restrict flow somewhat. The valve hole is a little small to get full flow and they are very stiff and hard to turn on and off!!!,You lose flow somewhat on each side. These are not full flow valve splitters!!!!But I cannot find any that are better or flow more. They restrict the flow somewhat from just the faucetEspecially if you have a high quality full flow facet or boiler drain!! They are fine for 1/2" hose or a small 5/8 ", but really restrict flow of a 3/4" hose!

Bought to replace plastic Y-valve when its body cracked/sprang a leak. So happy to install these brass ones and find no leaks or spraying at the connection points. On/off levers work smoothly. They look like they'll be durable, but too soon to tell. Love that extra washers were included.

This is a great price, so when I got them, I of course tried turning the valve levers. All the splitters I have owned before had some resistance to the valves. These turned so easily that I got worried that they would leak. So I put each one on the faucet and tested it. They work fine; when turned off there were no drips. So I am happy with them so far. Time will tell if they hold up. So far 5 stars.
