Bottom Line: I've been fly fishing 20-plus years and I'm very disappointed in the quality of these leaders given I have bought other gear from Aventik that I've gotten acceptable performance from. I don't believe you have to buy name-brand, expensive leaders to get decent performance, but these certainly are not an acceptable compromise. The Details: Take seriously the remarks of the 11% or so reviewers that gave one-star ratings because they are absolutely correct. I tried using these leaders on three fishing trips they are stiff, loopy and cloudy. Hence, I have real trouble believing its fluorocarbon. Moreover, they do not "fly right" when casting, nor do they lay in the water correctly. With the loop memory, you will miss fish, especially on days when the take is subtle, due to extra inherent slack in the leader. After first use, I tried pegging and slightly stretching one of the leaders for a week to see if it would reduce loop-memory. Nope. When I closely examined the material under a 10X glass it looks as if the first 100 cm/3.5 ft is of one material and the remaining is of another. Finally, I mic-ed the butt and tippet ends of the 3X leaders I received with a digital caliper and they were not consistent with the labeled diameters or the standard diameter for 3X tippet rating.

These are my go to flouro leader and save me a lot of money. I use them weekly without issue. They cast great, and turn my larger streamers without issue. Highly recommend these for anyone putting a lot of time on the water.
