Don't even hesitate to buy these if you have a use for them. I have a couple classic cars and installed these on the batteries. Now if my car sits a while I dont worry about dead batteries or if I'mm in a sketchy place they are great at deterring theft.

Our boat has three batteries that we like to disconnect when we are not using the boat. these help keep the batteries charged for the next trip. Installing them was easy and I really like that they are enclosed to keep the wires from corroding. So far, they have turned out to be just what we needed.
