this stone is a little different on sight. it is a little thicker but it fits perfectly in our wood stove. Vermont Casting Encore 2-1 built in 2012. We are very satisfied. The delivery was okay. With many regards, Sabine and Johan from Belgium

Fits as did the original and system seems to be working better, hotter, now that the old one I broke has been replaced. I originally ordered the wrong one which was easily replaced as is most Amazon orders.

The refractory firebox back is a perfect replacement for the Vermont Casting part. It fit the stove perfectly and is more durable than the original part. It shipped in expanding foam so there was no risk of breakage.
