Been looking for synthetic patches just like the discontinued Hoppes, these are just about 99% the same, very happy with them. Great quality, priced a bit more but they are good.

Seem to be ok synthetic patches but as others have said, not like the ones in my 20+ years old Outers universal cleaning kit. In the picture, the original (textured) is on the left and this new patch is on the right. These are 1.5 inches by 3 inches. I find this size is most useful for all my calibers except shotguns. A good value.

These patches work great, low/no lint and it holds onto lube really well, allowing me to apply a thin layer using only a few drops on one patch. Wish it were a little thicker, but definitely would purchase again when I run out.

I’ve been using these latches for a couple of decades. I last bought them probably ten years ago, in a big bulk order, and finally ran out. This reorder was really disappointing because the patches were thinner than their older counterparts. The jag punched through them most of the time which never happened with the older production run. I basically had to throw them away...they were worthless.

These do not work well with solvents. They immediately start to break down and fray (and leave fibers). They work fine (and no lint) for oiling though. I wish they also had a larger size for general wiping, but this size works well for threading with a cleaning tool.

Wanted to buy outers brand as they are made in the USA. This package is nice, the pads are thin and dont leave cotton residue, and can be cut to size if need be. This is the best deal.

These Outer patches are the only ones I've found that leave no lint or strings behind (like the *cotton patches). They work great and leave no mess. I haven't seen them locally in awhile... Worth searching out and ordering IMO.*The description for this product may say cotton, but the product I received is synthetic (as all of the Outers I've ever purchased at various places have been).
