Extremely disappointed. I spent more money on this than just buying the cheap one at menards, because this was supposed to come with the disk to use it on series 200 pipe, schedule 40, and schedule 80. NOPE, just schedule 40. I need the series 200 disk, and I delayed my critical project to wait on this tool to do the job right, guess I have to find a work around.

With this tool you can cut your PVC pipe flush with the fitting and reuse the fitting by drilling it out. This tool goes in your drill and simply drills out the remaining pipe from the fitting so you can reuse the fitting for the new pipe. A must have plumbing tool!

Vanity was roughed in with a solid P trap that was too short, and I wasn't sure how I was going to fix it (open the wall, attempt a repair joint?) until I ran into a comment about this tool on some plumbing forums. I was able to cut off the glued joint right at the T fitting and then ream out the remaining bit of pipe. It doesn't cut too quickly but that's sort of a good thing as you don't want to overdo it. It also leaves a rough surface, I had to sand for 2-3 minutes smooth the inner face to get the new pipe to fit but I think that's ideal, and far better than having it fit loose. Expensive for what it is but the sort of specialty tool that pays for itself on first use.

Easily drilled out the glued in pipe from a fitting saving me a call to a plumber or opening up the wall. Works as designed.

This product was an absolute life saver for my house, which after the previous owner and odd additions has resulted in some weird issues. In my case, I had to use this to remove a pipe fitting, and it worked *pretty well* but not perfect. While it does remove the pipe as advertised, it does not leave a very smooth surface. In fact, the surface is very grooved, and I'd even go so far to say it's more "threaded" like a nut and was actually a little too small to fit another pipe in.This is good and bad. I would have expected the surfaces to be smoother, but since they were not I simply used a very light sandpaper disc on my Dremel to fix it, and then applied copious amounts of sealant when I put in my new pipe.I couldn't have done the job without it, but just be aware you may need to finish off the end result.

The tool was able to cut out the damaged pipe and I was able to reconnect a new one in it's place.

I had to do some plumbing work around the house and I needed to save as much of the original PVC tube that came out of the wall as possible. We had just replaced the counter tops with new granite ones and the sinks didn't line up with the pipes. With this tool, I was able to do exactly that and still reuse many of the elbows and connecting pipes. I saved $550 by not hiring the plumber and got the job done during the course of the weekend.I do recommend using a variable speed drill, since the ram bit may get stuck if you are not careful to hold it straight.Wonderful tool!

I went to the local orange home improvement store and asked if they sold this type of item as I am remodeling a bathroom but the drain pipe was cut so close that I had to bore the pipe or have to re-run both baths drains. aaaanyway the guy who "works" in the plumbing department said there wasn't such a tool, I assured him there was as I have seen one used on "This Old House". long storey short ended up searching on amazom and found exactly what I needed and saved myself a huge headache and tons of $$.I love amazon.Oh, and the tool works perfectly. It is sold in many different sizes too. Worth every penny.
