This retractable reel works great and is made of good quality materials; have had no problems with it at all.

I do a lot of bo hunting for my from a tree stand. I really thought this was a good idea. Truthfully it makes too much noise when realing up the bow up . I've used it several times now and I have gone back to a traditional rope. I think functionality is there if they can make it quieter . When you're hunting, you want to be quiet ,for me it's just not worth it .

I recently received the 32.8FT Retractable Treestand Gear Hoist for review. This product aims to simplify the task of raising and lowering gear to and from a tree stand. While it offers some convenience, it falls short of being a game-changer for hunting.Pros:Retractable design: The hoist's retractable rope design allows for easy storage and portability.Tangle-resistant: The rope is designed to resist tangles, which can be a common issue with other gear hoists.Adjustable length: The 32.8FT length provides ample reach for most hunting applications.Cons:Tight retraction: The strap is somewhat tight when retracting, making it slightly difficult to reel it back up after retrieving gear. Not a significant improvement: While the hoist is convenient, it doesn't offer any significant advantages over other methods of raising and lowering gear.Pricey: The product is priced relatively high compared to similar options. In Use:I tested the hoist by raising and lowering my bow to and from a tree stand. The process was fairly straightforward: simply attach the rope to the gear, raise it to the desired height, and detach it once it reaches the stand. However, I found that the tight retraction made it a bit challenging to reel the strap back in.Conclusion:The 32.8FT Retractable Treestand Gear Hoist is a convenient accessory that can simplify the task of raising and lowering gear. However, it's not a game-changer and doesn't offer any significant advantages over other methods. The tight retraction and relatively high price point may also be drawbacks for some users. Overall, it's an alright product but not an essential piece of gear.

It does most of what it says it will. but it's a little difficult to make work, like the other reviews have said. It's easier to manage than a bundle of paracord though, so that's nice.

Tree stands and shooting houses can be very inconsistent on if they have ropes attached for pulling up your weapons and other gear. Instead of relying on the rope to be there to begin with, and not be tangled around a tree, you can add this to your beltloop and not have to worry about it.I am very happy with this product.

I generally use paracord or some other nylon lift rope with a loop or clip on the end. I generally leave one on every stand but carry one with me just in case I am in a place without one. I thought the retractable one would be nice to have for a second lift for a pack or saw or places where the rope is missing or broken. What I like:Compact and self-containedClip is sturdyDoes stay tangle free as you reelSnow and dirt did not seem to bother itWhat I did not like:It is pricey for what it doesIt makes noise pulling out and reeling inThe crank is small for cold or gloved handsIt can get really tight to reel inI don't really think I can recommend this over a pull rope. Even though rope may tangle or knot, they are quiet and inexpensive enough to leave on every stand.

This is a great idea. Unfortunately it is not very practical. The string unrolls out to tightly for you clip it on your belt and still have an 3 point contact to your stand. If you are trying to pull up your Compound bow it's to hard to get your fingers out of the way of the real and keep a good grip on it. Also if you have gloves on , Don't even try to real it in, You will drop your bow. No I would not recommend this to my friends.

This works well with my hunting rig. It is a simple bolt action, nothing heavy but this does a good job and seems more secure than the old rope I was using. Very quiet as well.
