This bag is perfect for storage and/or taking to the range. I would suggest getting black because it is an inconspicuous color, and when carried on the shoulder flipped to the flat side, you can't really tell what it is. It could be golf clubs or other sports equipment. I have not tried carrying it in backpack mode, but with the available straps, it seems like it would also work nicely.For this purchase I got the 33", which has proven great at holding my smaller items. The description says it holds items up to 31" in the 33" compartment, which I can confirm. The padding is also thick enough where I'm not worried about bumping into anything, etc.Overall the quality is really good. The fabric is thick, and all the straps and carry handles are in good spots and hold strong. There are also plenty of pockets available and they all close nicely. I would definitely recommend this, especially given the very good price. When you compare to other bags on the market this one is a much better deal.

It’s a nice bag but I definitely thought it would have more padding. It does have solid stitching along the zippers and around the shoulder straps. Great storage for ammo and or hand guns. Value for the money you can’t go wrong with this versatile bag.

I’m fortunate that my range allows soft cases so this works perfect for it. And then I can use it as a backpack and strap in my firearms. Makes it a lot easier for me on my range days.

Awesomeness for a gun case bag that allow for storage, portability, and access abilities. The ability to have a gun that is protected as it is being carried with handle or on the back with backpack style straps is easy for use. The case has many sealable pockets with velcro and zippers with added straps inside and outside to give extra stable protection so things are not moving around loosely. Gun and ammo can be managed with ease with space to spare for extra gear for the unexpected. I definitely recommend it this gun bag case.
