We purchased this strainer specifically to separate the watery egg whites from the enclosed egg whites and yolk to make better poached eggs and other egg dishes. Fried eggs are much tastier now.

It is delivered in a soft pouch, so the mesh has a permanent dimple. I give it five stars because it still performs perfectly for straining liquids into a 4-cup measure.
