Features

  • Professional needle bearings can operate at higher speed than other types of joints. E-coating is more corrosion resistance than powder coating.
  • Forged at first , then CNC machined can assure the strength and precision of U joints body.
  • 3/4 DD Steering Universal Joint only for 3/4 inch double D Shaft.

How to select

As we know, U-Joints are used to connect shafts, so the joint end must be matched with shaft end. Both ends of this universal joint are DD, that means they only can be applied to DD shafts. For vehicle steering system, it meas both shafts from steering intermediate shaft and steering column/steering box must be DD shafts (double D shafts). So splined end shaft, smooth end shaft and other styles are NOT applicable.

About U-Joints

  • U-joints are used to connect two shafts that have a high amount of misalignment. When choosing a U-joint, consider the amount of misalignment as well as the speed (rpm) and torque the joint will need to transmit.
  • The top u-joint connects the intermediate shaft to the steering column. The lower u-joint connects the intermediate shaft to the steering rack.

Application

  • Universal joints are used universally in many machines in which there are rotating shafts. In the vehicle, drive shift u-joints and steering shift u-joints are the mostly typical application. They can be compatible with Ford, Chevy, GMC, Dodge, Jeep, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, KIA and so on.
  • This 3/4 DD steering shaft U joint can be widely used into above fields.
