I used this unit to stop water from getting back to my battery back up sump pump when a main unit would run. I wanted the battery back up unit to remain dry unless pushed into service.

It worked perfectly for 2 years and then it just stopped. The rubber flapper now gets stuck immediately after taking it apart and blowing through it. Otherwise it's been a great check valve and worked perfectly for my bilge in Salt water. Maybe would last longer in less harsh conditions. I'm going to try the whale brand valve and see how it does. Time will tell.

So I use this for a dwc setup with recirculating water. If the power goes out my rez will overflow. I got this thinking it would stop the flow back with out power. Nope it didn't stop it. It did however slow the backlog greatly. I might have a defective one I'm not sure. Only to find out is to order another one. But if you are looking for 0 flowback this might not work fyi

Not sure if it was supposed to, but it came with 2 valves but only the two clamps (as advertised). I used it on my boats shower/sink bilge drain hose and it does not back up at all, so it works. We'll see how long it lasts.
