When opened noticed that the chain center hookup piece was missing , will be returning it.

I generally only lift SBC's, so the 1000lb weight rating is just fine. But I'm not sure I would want to be near these plates lifting 1000lbs. They seem a little soft for that kind of weight. But for what it is, and that I generally only work on SBC's, they should work just fine. the chain seems quite well made though and should be able to handle much more than 1000lbs, no question on the chain, just the 3 plates.
