The splitter features two female 3.5mm ends and one male 3.5mm right angle plug. This allows easy connecting of two headphones / headsets into one scanner. To start it. I opened the envelope it was loose inside and the little bag inside was already ripped opened. It looked like someone already returned it before. I went to use it and it didn’t work properly. I had to squeeze and hold the center where the wires attached at the “Y” or it wouldn’t work. I would not recommend this or the seller.

The splitter looks good but did not perform very good. When plugged into my scanner and headphones, low volume and I had to twist cable around to hear at a louder volume. Disappointing!

We went to a NASCAR race and bought 2 sets of headphones and a scanner to listen to the driver/crew talk. As advertised, this let us plug both headphones into the scanner so we could both listen. One thing that I should have realized was that by plugging in two headphones it would lower the volume to both headphones. I wasn't surprised when it happened, but didn't think about it before hand. Just be aware that only using one headphone somewhere where it is already noisy it will be louder than splitting it to two headphones.
