Couldn’t get these in the ground, they are too long. Unless you have sand, you are going to have a really hard/ impossible time pounding three feet of plastic into the ground without it breaking. Couldn’t return them because I didn’t have a box to fit them and it would cost me. To Goodwill they went.

I have been adding these to help my trees survive the Texas heat. I added some perhaps two months ago to two trees I planted this spring that weren’t doing well. They went from half-dead to thriving. My chaste tree has noticeably grown and is flowering, and my tiny pomegranate tree has added at least a foot in height after barely growing at all since it was planted in early Spring.I have been adding more and more of these deep drip spikes to the trees, and recently ordered another set. I contacted the seller over a delivery issue and they were friendly and responsive and took care of the issue very quickly.I’d give the product and the company 6 stars, if I could.

I was pleasantly surprised with the high quality of these tree stakes. They are well made and very sturdy. I used a high pressure hose nozzle to create the hole so as to avoid cutting any of the tree's roots instead of trying to pound them into the ground. Here in central Florida the sand gets so dry in the winter that the water beads up and will not soak into the ground. So these watering stakes irrigate all the way down to the roots.

Wonderful product for a specific difficulty with watering certain trees and plants. When using the 2' stakes, they have overflown onto the ground .... a backfilled & hardpacked, subdivision home front and back yard. Slowing down the water input easily handled the difficulty.I didn't break any when hammering them into this hard backfilled small boulders ground ... though I did slowly soften the ground with water seeping from the hose ... and used some 'rebar' stakes to pound small hole to help ... had to move around some small boulders underground. It has been worth it!! When we moved in 3 years ago, some of the trees had areas that were dying. I easily saw the problem... and spoke with neighbors ... who had the same problems ... some cut down the trees (loosing the precious shade here in Nevada). Other neighbors paid landscapers to dig out and bury 3" PVC pipe with french drain holes, for using a hose to water. These posts work as advertised. If you have situations like ours, expect some extra work ... but they are effective with what they do.Would I reorder them ... I already have ... for some of the low bushes and certain flowering plants.
