The main reason I wanted this was to have a dust-proof, water-proof place to store large pieces of art that were not currently being displayed. Or for moving them from one location to another. I just wrap the piece in acid-free paper, put it in the portfolio and zip it up. It's big enough to hold a few canvases or even a framed painting. While this is not what the bag was intended for, it does a good job for that purpose. I have another portfolio of this size that was about $8 cheaper, but that one does not have the additional pockets, or the reinforced nylon straps that go around the bottom of the portfolio bag, which provide extra support. Those reinforcement straps provide some peace of mind that there is some extra support holding the weight of the art, and not just the shell of the bag.

I got this to replace my old portfolio bag since it broke. I like to keep my drawing and tracing pads in it, along with my work. This was about double the size I expected, although I fully admit that could be my own issues with trying to anticipate the size of things from measurements (I'm almost never right). I was surprised that this bag was so floppy though. You really need to put something structured in it, otherwise it will just fall down and crumple. That is not what I expect from a portfolio. Since I put a very thick pad in, it did help a bit, but I ended up having to fold the sides in and squish it against a wall with a bin in front of it to keep it more stable. If you are only putting papers in it, this will not provide protection from bending or crimping. The fabric is like a canvas tote, so it will keep the contents relatively safe from things like scratching or punctures from things outside the bag.

This is a nice, LARGE, portfolio bag. It’s bigger than I needed, but I wanted to make sure my work didn’t get damaged, and this works great. I think i might get a slightly smaller one and use this one for transporting canvases. Zipper is smooth and the bag seems like it will keep out dirt and moisture. It’s soft sided if that makes a difference; makes it easy to store when not in use.

This is made from quality materials but has no body. It doesn't have the structure that I would prefer.

I bought this product to hold my finished diamond paintings that are 120x90 (48"x36") and this was not measured as advertised. The measurements came out to be nearly 46"x36" so none of my bigger canvases were able to fit inside. The depth of the portfolio was great and would have fit my 5 canvases without issue, but the measurements were off by a crucial 2". I will be returning this item as I am extremely disappointed about this. I was so excited to be able to protect my finished artwork from dust, but now I can't. DON'T BUY IF YOU NEED THE CORRECT MEASUREMENTS THAT ARE BEING ADVERTISED!!

Huge, sturdy bag is so perfect for storing your larger works - whether as pre-storage and organization, a work-in-progress bag, or for keeping work safe after completion. Oxford cloth is very sturdy...this is my second one of these and I store mine under my bed, shows absolutely no wear after over a year of being slid in and out. I'll also mention that this bag is extremely much the same and costs less than half of what the bag I already own cost me - so this one is a great value! These are so great for storing and organizing (pre- or post-); I'm actually using large, cut pieces of foam board as dividers to help me stay organized - I organize by size but could be arranged by whatever you choose. The pocket on one side is great for storing little things. Of course, an artist would probably store some supplies; I store my labeling supplies to keep them super handy.

It's huge!As some who works with fabric, you would think I would know how long 36" is (because it's a yard). But for some reason, I was shocked when I opened this. It turns out, it will work even better for what I need it for though. I have a couple of pieces of art that I don't have wall space to hang yet. I don't want them to get ruined while I wait for space to open up. I can store them both in this bag side by side, rather than having to stack them on each other.
