Excellent value for the money. Fulfills it's intended purpose. Very sturdy. Cat appears to enjoy it.

This was really easy to put together. My cats have been having a blast with it! My smaller kitten loves perching at the top and antagonizing my overweight old man cat. Holds up to aggressive clawing, and stable enough for kitten zoomies. So far, tubby kitty hasn't been able to knock it over to get to zoomie kitten, so it is pretty stable. Definitely a win in my book!

I have a larger cat who is a ragdoll breed, so at 20 lbs, he often is too big and knocks over many of the scratching posts options out there or can't really stretch out to get a scratching session in. This one is a nice height, so he can stretch up and get his scratches in. He also likes the two added toys that are attached and I hear him softly bat at them on occasion. It was super simple to put together and came with everything needed. I have it against a wall for added stability, but it has not toppled over yet.

I own many scratchers.. this is the only cotton one ive ever onwed. I replaced a palm tree style sisal because they ripped it apart. Unfortunately, my three cats all different ages, dont seem to care for the cotton. Each one of then used to tear up the green one, but this one they just use to stretch on and barely scratch. I can only assume they do not like the cotton material. So all the reviiews saying that their scratcher still looks like new is likely because its not really getting used much. My cats wont even play with the toys or perch on the top like other reviews say. They really love the cardboard floor scratchers and the older sisal post I had, so I suppose Im going to have to buy another sisal pole scratcher and maybe Ill dontate this one to the shelter or something.. disapppinted but I guess they cant scratch the cotton as well..

My cats like to streeeeeeeeeeeeeetch and scratch. Unfortunately, this often leads to going after things they shouldn't. I have scratching posts. I have the scratchy cardboard things on the floor. I've done multiple different styles and sizes and angles and shapes. But I haven't been happy with the height of anything I tried. Even the options you hang on the wall weren't working well for us.The assembly was so straightforward. It comes with a hex tool but you don't really need it.My cat starting playing with the feathered toy before I had even finished putting it together. And then he proceeded to stretch and scratch and stretch and scratch. I had other things to do, so I moved on with my day but the next time I looked at him, he was laying on the floor with his paws/upper body across the base making the pleased as punch face cats make when you get them something they love.My other cat enjoyed the toys and batting them around. It is just a tad wobbly, probably on account of the fact that the base is split and unfolds. I'll probably try adhering the pieces a little better. Maybe reinforcing it somehow. I don't know. But... this is JUST a post. There's a small platform at the top but it really isn't a sitting spot like a tree. it's just the top.

Very easy to put together, I spent 5 minutes, maybe less. Both my fur babies started playing and scratching immediately after I put it together.Plan to give update of how long it lasts- but for now I'm happy with my purchase.

My six cats always have several cat posts in the house. They seem to think of the really big ones as furniture -- they climb up and sleep in the boxes and hammocks, but they don't scratch them much at all, which is actually fine since they cost so much. What they love to scratch is a post like this. They denude and destroy one of these about every six months. The post is just over a yard tall, which suits even my stretchiest 18-pounder. Its wrapped in cotton cord instead of sisal and, after a month, it still looks good, so I have high hopes for its durability. One of my favorite aspects of this post is the little round topper -- it's a selling point for me because my cats love to perch on it. From that vantage point, they're at eye level with the humans on the couch, plus it's fun for them to reach down and grab the two hanging toys or bat down other cats. This post was easy to assemble and no parts were missing. It's sturdy and functions exactly as it should. Six paws up!

This thing is fatter than my last post that lasted well over a year, and roughly as tall, and at about $30 when I ordered, it seems a very good value for what you get (and I hope it stays at that price!).My three rescue cats were all stray or feral at one point, so they love to scratch with reckless abandon. They go through scratching posts & mats and all that like butter. They immediately loved this one from the moment they tried it, and after almost a week of near constant use, it's shockingly just as pristine as the day I got it and set it up.I'm still skeptical about the cotton cord lasting very long, but we'll see. The sisal makes quite a mess, and I will never buy cardboard scratchers again because those are ripped to shreds in less than 20 minutes. The posts on these are nice and sturdy though, and it looks like it wouldn't be too hard to wind new rope on it if/when the cotton is done holding together.I'm amazed that the hanging toys are still attached, even though the cats love grabbing them -- especially the bird, of course! :) The two regular-size cats have both enjoyed perching themselves on the small top circle, while the older big boy (over 16 lbs) hasn't been up there yet. I figure at some point he'll do it just to show up the other cats and play King of the Post, since that's his personality type.Anyway, I'm very happy with this, and if it holds together for a good 6 months, I'd love to buy another if the price is about the same. I'd also recommend it to others. Crossing my fingers!4 stars from me!
