Overall good quality tap set. True 1/4-18 NPT. Quality drill and strong tap with well cut threads. It's a good buy at a good price. I recommend it if you're in the market for one.

I've used this kit to drill and tap a few holes in an aluminum block for an air manifold system. So far it has been great!This tap size is the same as most standard 1/4" NPT air fittings, so it works great to clean up threads on those. The drill bit is your standard HSS black oxide drill bit, it cuts nicely but it may struggle a bit in very hard materials. The tap is excellent, it cuts clean and sharp threads.So far I'm really happy with this kit! It is nice to keep the drill bit with the corresponding tap, and this kit is a good value. It comes in a handy little plastic case too.

Quality, perfectly matched set of drill and tap. I made over 10 tapped holes in a manifold block with these and they all threaded perfectly!
