It was a breeze to install.Disconnect power to the lighting unit, remove the socket, plug the wires into the provided connector and replace the lighting unit and the cover if you wish.It does get hot so make certain the light housing is vented and not completely sealed.In my application the top of the lighting unit on my fan has large vents to allow heat to escape.It is bright with the glass diffuser cover on and super bright with it off.

I am not that big on electrical work but our fan light burnt out and I took on the challenge. This could not have been easier. The only thing I had to get extra was some wire ties, but I had some in my random box of stuff. Bulb puts off good warm light and does what you expect.

I looked at a couple of reviews and saw how other people were placing this LED inside of the fan instead of buying $100 lightbulb what I did was I placed it over it and left everything intact but disconnected the old one and then I glued the plate in a couple of spots so it’s sat perfectly and she’s working great won’t behold the other one is underneath this one inside the plastic housing. This one is dimmable the other one used to flicker.

I bought this to replace the led light in a Harbor Breeze 52" ceiling fan. The Harbor breeze has burn out the led before and I replaced the entire ceiling fan. This was the second unit and it burnt out like before. The replacement and installation was incredibly easy and although it wasn't exactly like the factory led, the magnets eliminated any complicated modifications. I would definitely recommend and buy again!

I've never seen so much confusing information on any product. Zero standard nomenclature with multiple manufacturers and model numbers. Trying to match up my existing light board for a replacement is impossible. I did my best purchasing this one to no avail.Word to the wise, don't by a fan with this type of lighting until the industry gets their you know what together.
