I like to have a product such as this for my arms to use when gardening. But the arm gaiters do not stay in place as well as the leg gaiters do.

I always end up ripping them off out of frustration. In the fall I will use them and duct tape them on

I had hesitated getting into the garden with Lyme Disease so rampant in my area. Especially since deer frequently bed down in my yard. I purchased these arm gators along with the leg gators, sprayed my shoes with deet (only on my shoes since they won’t be in close contact with my skin) and had no issues with ticks. I did wear a long sleeve tee and long leggings so the gators weren’t against my skin either, but they were comfortable, adjustable, and seem to have worked! It might have just been luck that I didn’t see any critters on them, or on me, but it’s an extra precaution I was happy to take since they didn’t inhibit my movement and protected me from getting scratched by weeds and coming into contact with poison ivy as well.

It protects my arms well. However, it is one size fits all. Therefore, it is way too big for me and becomes cumbersome to wear.

The velcro attachments on these arm gaiters are designed to fail--quickly. After just a few uses the velcro closure became detached from the gaiters. Very inconvenient thing to occur out in the field. They had to be reattached properly when I got home.

Definitely worth wearing, although it feels like you’re suiting up in body armor! Tick free when I did wear them, thinking about leg gators now! Lots of gardens to take care of, and these made it a little less stressful.

These gaiters effectively kept ticks from climbing up our pant legs.Pyrethrum comes from chrysanthemums and is a very effective, natural insect repellent. We always wear these on hikes and walks.Don’t leave home without them!
