Are you tired of sticking your finger or moving your decorations just to see if your plants need water? Get yourself a moister reader! My step mother encouraged me to get one. She says its helpful. When I got it, I thought it didn't work. I used it on one of my indoor plants. I read the instructions after opening it and then tried it again and it still did not work. The following day I stepped out and tried it on the outdoor plants and it worked. This means that my indoor plant was dry. This does save time and accidental over watering your plants. You can save your plants.

I'm not sure the Naiades 3 in 1 Moisture/Light/pH tester is 100% accurate, but it has still been helpful for determining below-the-surface moisture levels. The light meter was most helpful for determining how much the UV protection on our windows might be affecting the houseplants. If this is correct, our soil is very alkaline, which given the prevalence of limestone in the region does make sense. After reading up on "symptoms" of alkaline soil, I suspect the meter is correct. We have some soil amending to do!This isn't a premium soil meter, and it certainly won't be as precise as having your soil professionally tested. However, it is useful for getting a rough idea of your soil situation so you can start making adjustments.

I ordered this for my husband who is a gardener and landscaper. He says that it's simple to use, and he likes that it doesn't need batteries. It's easy to use and portable so he can take it with him to his clients or use it at home to tend to our own plants. It works well for both our indoor plants and the plants he is starting to grow this season in our garden.

i have no idea what i could be doing wrong, but this just didn't work for me. i can't get a clear or accurate reading on any setting, even when consulting the manual.

Works great as a moisture meter. I have a tendency to over or under water so this will save lives lol. The soil looks bone dry on the surface but was set on the bottom. The light meter is kinda silly because my eyes work better than the sensor. The PH I don't thin is very accurate either but don't know for sure.

This 3-in-1 Naiades soil moisture meter is for testing the soil for three conditions: Moisture, pH (alkalinity or acidity of the soil), and surrounding (ambient) light. The meter is a durable plastic. The head of the meter is adjustable so you can read it horizontally or vertically for easy viewing. Batteries are not required. The swivel of the head and the probes are securely attached. The meter readings are straight forward. Just flip the button, and test the soil. Testing it in different settings, the moisture content reading seemed accurate enough to let me know what needs to be watered and what doesn't. The top of a plant might be moist, but the roots might not. The probes test to 7" down in the soil. The light meter registered the light conditions correctly when in shade and in sun. The pH meter seemed accurate, most of our soils are alkaline, so I wasn't able to fully test this function but did see the needle register on the alkaline scale for each plant. The probe came in a box that looked like the company really cared, and a small 2" square piece of sandpaper was inside for cleaning the tips long term. Overall, I see this meter lasting for a long time. The value for the price is excellent.

I'm on the fence if I like this or not. Right out of the box, it didn't seem to work. I read the instructions and fiddled with the settings. It's currently inside my greenhouse. It seems to work okay-ish but to be honest, I really don't think it's giving me accurate readings. I've touched the soil and it doesn't feel moist to me but the readings are saying it is. Even when you water, it does not show that the area is really moist.

This soil meter works well in helping me know the light, moisture, and pH of my indoor plants. It's easy to use: just switch the indicator on the front of the meter to test what you want to know and the meter hand will show you the amount of light your plant has, how wet or dry the soil is, and how alkaline or acidic the soil is so you can get the soil to be suitable for that specific plant. The pamphlet that is included has a list of common plants and informs you of the right pH needed. If the plant is not listed, you can easily search it up on the internet nowadays that information is at our fingertips. A small piece of sand paper is also included to rub the metal tips if they don't seem to be working or sensing anymore. So far, I haven't had to do that. This meter can be read tipped up or as is facing forward. The 2 metal probes are attached securely to the meter and is suppose to provide a more accurate reading than just 1 probe. I've been using this soil meter every week testing all my indoor plants and so far it's made watering my plants so much easier without having to dirty my fingers. I only wish this soil meter came with a case or container to put it in because I just leave it on my shelf and it can be a bit dirty and unsightly. Overall, I'm happy with the value of this soil meter and would recommend it.
