hi there I'm wondering when I will receive the rest of the tape guns. We were billed for 2 cases with 6 per case.We received only 2 tape guns.

Another case of a product with instructions that make no sense. The instructions said, "Pull tab to remove and discard blade protection." In fact, there was no tab and the blade was recessed so it would never come in contact with the tape to be able to cut it. Eventually, I disassembled the blade assembly, repositioned the spring inside of it and moved the blade forward while tightening the two screws. Then the "instructions" tell you to "pivot brake to open position." Brake? What Brake? You have to guess because they identify nothing on the unit. And it's an incorrect use of the word 'pivot' to explain how it opens. The clear plastic applicator roller is never identified, nor is there any reference to how you install it. Unless you're handy with your hands and with figuring out mechanical problems, I would not purchase this product. It took me an hour, but I think I've got it all solved, but when an outfit like 3M treats its customers with such contempt, I'll make sure I load my HR80 up with J-LAR instead of 3M Scotch. No wonder American manufacturing is down to 10% of our economy! Almost forgot this little tidbit. When the blade wears out or the plastic applicator breaks, no problem, 3M will be glad to sell you a replacement part but be aware, "Minimum billing on parts orders is $25.00" which is more than the cost of the unit! And if that's not enough to get you to throw it away and buy a new one, they also advise you to "Refer to parts list for correct part number." And of course, there is no parts list.

This is a heavy duty type packing tape dispenser and is far superior to the little plastic one that we had been using. Excellent device!

It's rare that a 3M product doesn't work as intended. I've had one of these for several years. I got it when buying a six pack of tape from Costco.It works OK, but is best for large boxes. It's hard to use with small boxes. I ended up using a box knife to cut the tape. I noticed it started pinching my hand. The handle had cracked in the red area right where the web of my thumb fits.I'm now using one made by U-Haul that I picked up at one of their moving centers. It's easier to use with small boxes and I think the handle will hold up better. It's not as fancy and is more cheaply made, but I think it's a better product.

This thing works great. It is easy to load with tape and easy to use. It should last many years. It was well worth the price.
