When I saw the size of the roll I thought it was a joke, considering my old 3M gold rolls were much larger and lasted years through many projects. I figured this must be some modern miracle sandpaper. Nope. I build guitars and taking what is normally a small amount of material off a fretboard wasted this paper where the gold would still have a lot more life. I will never buy this again.

Have had the holder in my shop for years, but was unable to find the refill in any local store. Thanks again Amazon. These rolls make changing out used sheets for new or changings grits really simple and quick.

I bought this in 3 sizes to use on a detail sander, and it didn't stick any better than the stuff I've had for 20 years. In all fairness, it may work OK on a larger sander, but I didn't try it there.

I have purchased the Porter cable 80G from amazon and it IMO is Junk! Spend the extra money and bet a quality product like this.

This sand paper is sharp. It cuts through wood like thousand miniature chisels. You can feel it cutting wood. The backing is tough and does not tear easily. I use with in conjunction with a 3M handle with pad and a hole to dispense from. The sticky backing of this makes it easy to unroll and place in the sanding block/dispenser. The dispenser is expensive at around $14 but it is very comfortable and ergonomic and just the right size. The sandpaper is inexpensive and will outlast regular sandpaper sheets. This is a better value. This is my favorite sanding block/paper combination at my home shop. This white sand paper from 3M is much better than the standard 3M brownish sandpaper sheets which tears easily and does not last very long, nor is as sharp as this.The sanding block (red, plastic block with a cavity for sandpaper roll) and a few of these rolls will make for a great gift and inexpensive. I would recommend to anyone doing all sorts of sanding. It would be much better to have a sanding block/dispenser for each grit thougth as the sticky side of the sandpaper does not make it practical to remove one grit to put a different.Ideally, two sanding blocks and two different grits would be super. I only have one block with 120 grit and I use it for everything.

My wife and I have used the Stikit sandpaper rolls and the holders for a number of years on many woodworking projects from our own California King sized bed to changeable Crib to Youth beds for our grandsons and absolutely love them. The sandpaper holds up extremely well in all conditions as do the four holders (two large and two small)--getting into places most powered sanders cannot reach and giving us absolute control over how much material we remove. Great value for the cost and equally well made. bogie & tene'
