Wow, this is a giant roll of tape! I use this stuff for everything - weatherstripping, upholstery work, canvas repair, craft mounting, the list is endless. This stuff sticks and stays where you put it and with 3M, you can't go wrong! Nice packaging too, it comes in a zip lock bag so the sticky edges of the tape don't get filled up with debris.

VHB (very high bond) is one of the greatest inventions on the planet. I first used this tape to attach automotive accessories. I've used it as a fastener in lighting fixtures where screws ruin the assembly. Now, I keep a roll of VHB next to my duct tape for hobbies, automotive, and home repair. Great stuff 3M!

... on Ford brand accessory window vent-shades on my Transit 250 van -- 3/8 inch wide, 0.045 inch thick, and black. The VHB on the left side vent began to show wear (by vibrating a bit at highway speeds -- the foam or bond had weakened and become flexy) about a year after install. It lasted another year before it showed signs that it might fly off on my next drive. The right side vent has been fine. This VHB variety was exactly the right replacement. The old stuff came off the vehicle pretty well, and I finished that cleanup with alcohol and a rag. Getting it off the acrylic vent was much more difficult. I had first tried rolling the stuff off with my thumbs, but, that was futile. I wound up painting on Goo Gone repeatedly over several hours, then using an old credit card to scrape off the gunk. Then, cleanup with alcohol and rag.Hopefully, my new VHB application will outlast the manufacturer's application.
