I used this to prevent a new proportioning valve from shifting and blocking outlets. Didn't do the job it was intended to do.I installed a new booster, master cylinder, proportioning valve, and all new lines on my 81 Vette. This tool was a waste of money for me - it still allowed the proportioning valve to shift and block-off the front brake system completely. Luckily, there was a button, under a rubber cap on the new proportioning valve I purchased here on Amazon. I was able to push the button to center the valve and get fluid flowing to the front half of my brake system again. Yes, the knob/tool was fully screwed down into the P-valve. The shuttle inside the proportioning valve must have more of a "U" groove in the center rather than a "V" groove machined into it.
