Move into a house with a sunken outlet and tight if have to pay big money for an electrician! After watching online tutorial, this was the right and cheapest fix for me! Yay!P.S. be sure to do it in the daylight with power off!!!!

These outlet box extenders are great for getting the outlet flush to the wall plate. I recently got a new layer of stucco on my house and every outside outlet ended up deep in the wall. OK, not that deep but (odd coincidence) about a half inch deep. That’s the new layer plus an earlier layer. I’ve been using shims and stuff to space the outlet away from the J box. These are a way way better solution. They work great. I’ll be getting the 1/4“ ones too for some J boxes that seem to have been installed flush with the inside surface of the drywall. sigh.
