These things are perfect for driving people crazy. They are just loud enough to not be able to ignore it, but not so loud that you could easily track it down.I love the variety of sounds. The cricket noises are especially good, but then the random beeps are effective as well.I like how the delay is anywhere from 5-45 minutes. This makes it really hard to pinpoint. I notices that it's rarely as long as 45 minutes, but that's ok because it's more fun to hear it more often.My kids like to hide them and then challenge one another to track them down.Great price for a well made, excellently executed gag.It's awesome that they come with batteries and double sided tape too.Highly recommend.

I bought these to annoy people in my office and my wife :) They do create multiple random noises that you can cycle through. The cricket noises are all the same volume. The beeping noises can be chosen at different volume levels. The problem, other than short battery life others mentioned, is the delay between noises is WAY too long. Sometimes as much as 45 minutes. What fun is that? These should make noise about every 10 minutes or so it gets people's attention, but not quick enough to find it easily. I'm the same guy that buys a remote-controlled fart machine. That is way more fun because you control when it makes noise and can time it perfectly. Get that instaed.

Bought these to put in my brother's house whilst he was away on holiday. There is a wide range of different beeps which are easy enough to cycle through and choose - I went for one which was obvious enough to be noticed but short enough it wouldn't be easy to find!The boards themselves are quite small and come with a sticky pad so are easy to hide - I chose to put them behind books on a bookcase and in the back of pictures on the wall. After placing them I skipped out of there with a grin on my face like a Cheshire cat.What I hadn't anticipated was that as the weather was cold at the time, a lot of other items in the house (unrelated to these) also start beeping (like fire alarms with dying batteries). This added to the hilarity, as what was 3 beeping things that needed to be tracked down turned into double that.I had to reluctantly come clean on the prank when they called in an electrician to start pulling up the floorboards as they thought that the beeping might have been an old alarm system that came with the house.10/10 would buy again, but maybe for someone with more of a sense of humour.

I put this in my coworkers backpack. He didn't notice and then went on a two week vacation with out it. He finally heard it this past week. Drove him and his wife nuts. Unplugged appliances, moved furniture, about to ask the neighbors...in other words: works great!!!
