Absolutely work as intended. Now I am not trying to grip a goofy hose clamp 3 feet into an engine with all kinds of junk in the way. They're a little fiddly getting it down there, but once you're gripped on, these things don't let go unless you want them to. The little case is a throw away as soon as you get it type, but if you're buying these, you have a tool box. Well built, sturdy, easy to use. For the price, you can't go wrong.

I struggled for literally years with stubborn hose clamps. Pliers always slipped. Sometimes the clamp would snap my fingers and results in multiple "garage words" being hurled around. These hose clamp pliers, specifically the ratcheting one, is a godsend. Just put it over the clamp, squeeze, and the clamp easily retracts and stays locked open. The pliers are even on a cable, so the position of them isn't important. It makes radiator hose replacements so, so much easier than they used to be.This is one of those tools that I didn't know existed for a long time. Now that I have them, I won't touch another hose clamp with out them.

If you do a lot of work on cars you will have annoying hose clamps that your pliers just can't do right. These solve that! Definitely a much needed addition to any toolbox. Makes dealing with the clamps much easier. Super easy to use, works perfectly.Highly recommended!

For years I've used groove joint pliers to remove hose clamps, and they usually work well enough, but I decided to give these a try instead. These seem to work much better because they're made for this specific application. I like that they ratchet/lock into position to keep the hose clamp expanded without requiring you to maintain pressure on the handles. The remote/cable-operated set is a really cool idea for those hard-to-reach places.These pliers are well made and seem durable. I'm impressed.

This is a fantastic set of hose clamp pliers. I have always struggled with getting regular pliers to do the job and these make it so much easier and give you the ability to use and lock with one hand. I didn't even realize such a tool exists and I'm happy to own it now. They come in a very nice zippered case as well to keep them clean and handy. The included gloves seem to be durable and have a good fit for me which is another bonus. I highly recommend them.

This is one of those products I never knew existed but now I can't imagine living without. These pliers work especially well in hard-to-reach areas where you really can't fit a screwdriver and reach those hose ends. They feel sturdy, and given that they aren't used in high impact, high stress areas, I anticipate that they will last a long time. In my mid seventies model car, I was able to reach all the hose clamps without issue with these. I can see how they might prove a little unwieldy in some newer cars with tighter quarters under the hood, but for the ones they can reach, these are great. Worth the price.

I wish I had these a long time ago!Dealing with the constant tension clamps, and they don't get tired, can be a real hoot.These have a ratcheting lock that holds the clamps in place. The ratcheting locks also have a convenient thumb release. This is a huge advantage over regular pliers.I expect my vocabulary to clean up immensely.The tips are shaped to grip the clamps securely and the several I tried them on all worked great.I haven't tried the long snake tool but it looks like it will work great too.They are also in a nice carrying case to keep them organized and easy to find.I'm doing a complete cooling system overhaul on my old Jeep this spring and these will be an absolute game changer for this kind of work.
