I returned the unit, the cutter head want square with the rollers, so would cut spirals, not a square cut.

First and foremost, I always find it annoying when a product (especially when a nouveau company is trying to gain new customers!) comes without even basic instructions; more so especially if there are any moving parts whatsoever! Look, I ain't no Rich Trethewey, so don't expect me to start cutting pipes without some written guidelines/replacement part info/warranty info included with your product. For instance: best technique for YOUR cutters/deburring tool. Also no mention whatsoever with regard to the swinging blade (which I might assume, or not, is for "reaming", as only one other reviewer has pointed out) which captures the extra cutting wheel. I mean, what about the cutting wheels?!? Are they standard sizes easily replaceable? I could go on but as far as the tool itself, it does the job although the large cutter "side-play" (mentioned by another reviewer) is disconcerting. The auto-adjuster on the big cutter is a plus for rapid deployment and the padded foam cut-out case is always appreciated for any specialized tool set such as this.

I am totally satisfied with this cutter. The carrying case that comes with this was an extra bonus I wasn’t expecting. Very very nice. I’ve owned one of these cutters before it lasted forever until somebody thought they needed it more than I did.

The large cutter is of good quality. I love the quick adjust mechanism which allows you to instantly open the cutter to its full capacity, place it on the tubing to be cut, and then instantly close it so the cutting wheel rests on the tubing. Doing all that adjusting by turning the handle would quickly get old on a cutter this size. I used it to cut some 2" PVC tubing with 0.150" wall thickness and it worked just fine. I'm sure it would also work fine on copper and other soft metals. I'm not sure how well this cutter would hold up in professional use where it would be used dozens of times every day - it doesn't have the bullet-proof look and feel of a true pro tool - but it's perfect for occasional use around the house.I haven't tried the small cutter, but I've used small cutters just like it in the past and my advice is: don't use it unless space constraints simply don't permit the use of a larger cutter. Tiny tubing cutters like this are slow and uncomfortable to use, but when it's the only cutter that will fit into a spot where tubing needs to be cut, you'll be glad to have it. The de-burring tool works fine to clean up the ID of the cut, particularly on larger diameter tubing. The case is pretty nice: semi-rigid with foam cutouts in which the tools nestle.

I’ve never had a tubing cutter this large before, let alone one with a quick adjust feature. So I don’t have a basis for direct comparison with the same tool, but I can say this is as good a cutter as any traditional style I have used. The quick adjust is a genuine time saver, and the onboard extra cutter is a plus.The smaller cutter is comparable in size and performance to a well regarded cutter that is likely twice the price. If you ever need to cut tubing that is still in place on a vehicle, or in other close quarters, I don’t need to explain why this is an essential compliment to the big cutter.The deburring tool will sometimes be a useful companion to the cutters. The handle is not of highest quality, but should be adequate for the use a DIYer will give it. It would be good if it came with some sort of guard as mine arrive poking through the zipper of the case.The semi hard sided case is nondescript but functional, and includes carrying handles. There are fitted cut outs for each tool, though, as mentioned above, I don’t feel the deburring tool is securely contained, and the small cutter must be adjusted partially open in order for it to fit in its place. It seems just a little large for the tools contained. For being the size it is, I wish it were just a little larger to be able to fit a standard sized tubing cutter as well—and/or a small tool to remove and replace the e-clip used to replace and retain the extra cutting wheel. Finally, I wish the case were in some bright but uncommon color to make it easier to find and identify.These are all nitpicks; the tools themselves are up to the tasks they are intended to perform, and available for a modest price. Based on their functional abilities, I am comfortable assigning a 5 star rating.
