I do leather work, mostly leather journals and smaller leather work. These work really well for evening the edges before finishing them. Great for touch up, and they look cool 😎 on the work bench because they are just nicely made.

Variety of small angles and curves great for hobby work or finer details. Should by all means be a 5 star product. Some critical reviews say “very small” and yes they are very small. But they are detail sanders after all. For my purposes the size is perfect. These will need to be accompanied with other larger blocks for larger areas. This is expected. The finer the work the more intricate the details you just need the right size for the job. And these are the right size for their job.Issues that lose stars in reviewsold as new but two were used some minor work abrasion and graphite marks. Also clearly known as the unused of the set was in its original packaging and the two that appears used came in plain ziploc bags with no labeling/paperwork as shown in the picture. I find it fair to drop a star for that.Two star reduction coming on quality control. One of the blocks has a sizable chip. A minor defect site… but a defect all the same that happens to be right on a bearing edge. The blocks are for fine work those edges need to be consistent. Having a chip on that edge will create a stress point on the edge of the paper and introduce witness marks and/or require working around that spot on the tool. That’s not going to work for a new product that block is unusable without repair. There are no impact marks or damage anywhere to speak of in my opinion it came off the line this way and was sent to a customer anyway.TL:DRGreat blocks made from quality material.2 of 3 appeared used and repackaged to be sold as new. one sold as new with a manufacturer defect on a bearing edge.1 of 3 perfect and in original packaging.Good quality wood allowed for repair of factory defectEdit: grammar, rating raised to 4/5.
