Very realistic material to train on, minus any fluids. With such a variety of lacerations to practice on ruining one with practice is no big deal. Not personally in the medical field but knowing how to apply emergency first aid is important and, must be practiced.

Great quality material for practicing suturing it is very easy to use, extremely durable, somewhat lifelike but extremely functional as a training aid that is very reasonably priced as well. Definitely a great training aid.

These suture practice pads have excellent, skin like texture and fantastic to practice your suture skills. They are made well and can last a few rounds of suture practice before the material breaks down.

There are 3 sturdy well made silicone pads with various wound imitations. They can be reused. There are many options to practice various stitches. The suture kit is not included with this set.

I’d been learning to suture on fruit and animal skins, and finally decided to order these pads for a more accurate experience. The material is pliable, soft, and gel-like. They have a bit of a residue, but the sleeves (and box) appear to catch most, if not all of it, and they don’t feel greasy on your hands. The incision examples vary, and give a good spectrum of scenarios. The pads are easy to use and a good tool to refer back to when necessary. I keep them sleeved to retain their moisture. They don’t come with any care instructions.

Update: Practiced suturing this evening. Verdict: The quality of these suturing pads isn't quite as good as the significantly more expensive name-brand ones we have in the house. These ones are too "springy". It also feels unnatural that some of the "cuts" in the fake skin have material removed from the middle - with the result that when you pull the "wound" together, there is more distortion than there should be.Please take this opinion with a grain of salt. It's coming from a novice hobbyist. Not a medical professional. The picture of the amateur suturing job likely proves this. :)=== Original review (when the product arrived): ===The suture practice pads arrived well-packaged. The one pad I removed from its bag has a tacky feel to it. I didn't remove the other two because their bags are sealed.Compared to a more name-brand suture practice kit we have in the house, these pads are slightly thicker and more firm. The surface is less textured too. I don't know if that's good or bad. I'm not a medical professional.I don't know when I'll get around to using this suture practice kit. I ordered it as more of a hobby / survival experiment. Eventually the mood for practicing will strike. :) I don't see why these wouldn't work.Note that these practice pads to NOT come with needle and thread. Those have to be purchased separately.

My daughter loves everything medical & is getting ready to enter nursing school. I know she's going to enjoy practicing on these. One side note--they have an odd bit of greasiness in the tissue paper around them, but the suture pads themselves don't seem greasy. They have a good weight & size to them. Recommended!

This set of 3 suture practice pads are of the type recommended by our 1st aid group leader. He likes the ones that show layers so students are reminded of how deep is appropriate. While these skins are a good quality and a good price for the 3 pack, I just wish a few packs of sutures would be tossed in, instead of having to purchase separately.
