This is a really nice ladder, but it requires some skill to install unless you are fortunate to have a hull shape that matches it out of the box. This ladder was tested on a houseboat, a fishing/touring boat, and a pontoon boat. In each case, the ladder required some sort of modification to fit appropriately. This all said, it's amazing what a person can do with some PVC pipe and some boat carpet, so if you buy this ladder and it doesn't fit exactly the shape of your boat, consider a simple modification. For example, if you put a U-bolt inside the PVC, and drill out access holes to tighten the nuts, you can avoid any sharp edges on your hull. On that note, there are probably unlimited modifications/adaptations that will make this work for you. However, avoid this product if you're hoping for a perfect fit out of the box.

We needed a ladder that had more than the 1 step we already had. This ladder was easy to install (used same hardware as the previous one) and the 2 step is so much easier to use.

Got this to go into an old boat that had the ladder crushed during trailering... Yeah it happens. Just make sure your transom is solid before you put more holes in it. Either way, use sealant on everything that goes near the transom. The ladder is decent for the price. Stainless isn't getting any cheaper. Would be "nicer" if the platform was wood or a design. The five board color is kind of gross to me, but that's the only downside. It seems to hold up well to 200lbs exiting the water.Overall good for the price being comparably low. Anything boat related is price inflated.
