I used for 2 months and broke, what a lie, this is not what shows as heavy-duty ladder, looks nice but reality is poor quality. since first date I used give me a hard time and no one on my boat is heavy or have more than 200 pounds. i do not recommend this particular item, waste of money and unsafe.

We picked up a Catalina Expo 14.2 sailboat this year and have had a blast taking it out on the water. The one thing that I struggled with was finding a compact, removable ladder that I could stow easily. I bought 3 different ones prior to this, each one failed for one reason or another.This one was easy to install and worked great. Now my whole family can jump in the water and climb back onto the boat with ease, making for some really fun outings.One of the critical reviews mentioned that when you tighten the bolts all the way, it makes it so the pin cannot be moved. This is a design flaw that I encountered as well (otherwise I would have given it 5 stars). I do have to keep the bolts just a tad loose so that the pin would work. I don't love this solution but I'm willing to live with it. All in all, this was the right purchase for us.

We are on our second one… we forgot to pull it up on our last trip and it came off, totally our fault. We ordered it again because it worked well and was nice and compact. Hope to not make the same mistake twice!
