I have used rope to hold the straps together from sliding down, this works the same and looks way better. Keeps the shoulder straps held in from sliding out and not holding you in properly. Cheap mod to be safe.

Personally, these are a must have for my little ones. They pull the belts together to help ensure the should straps stay over their shoulders. My 5-year-old said it made the belts more comfortable. I am guessing it’s where the belt stops her from bouncing in out of the seat. After putting them on I tried pulling on the belts in different directions to make them let go and they didn’t which give me confidence they will hold up in a crash. Added safety for only 13 bucks.
