  • No Assembly Fluid Included, Easy Homemade sticky fluid Instructions(Mix the water with some dishwash soap that would work)

  • Security film for windows works under the same principles as automotive glass. The binding agent keeps the glass from shattering upon impact, just like a rock that hits your windshield may cause a hole, but the overall glass piece remains intact.

  • While all security films improve safety by preventing flying glass shards from causing injuries, thicker films can boost security against burglars. The thicker the film, the longer it takes to break out of the window frame.

  • Safety film is widely used to upgrade existing glass to meet health and safety standards in public buildings like schools home and hospitals, offices and business premises.

  • Generally, security window film is applied on the exterior, but it can also be applied on the interior. If you are looking for added protection you can even install it on both the interior and exterior.

Like others, I had issues with the ends of the product curling up and not adhering to the glass. I ended up taking the product off and throwing it away - which is frustrating.

Perfect as a security film. It's a 7 mil film very thick. But I don't recommend you buying it and installing it unless you have done tinted film installations before because due to its thickness, it is a little bit difficult to manage but with patience and experience, it comes out really nice. Air bubbles have to be squeeged out very carefully. So none is left after the film dries. Very satisfied with the product and my installation

I’m an over the road driver and one of the many hazards we face are things that fly through our windows and windshields while we are going down the road. In my case I have a tractor that was equipped with inadequate tandem mud flaps. These mud flaps allows rocks that are thrown from the tires to reach the back of the tractor cab windows causing them to shatter on impact and blow out the window. After applying this product a few months ago. it finally happened a rock was thrown out from my tractor tires and hit the back window but this time the the window shattered in place and didn’t come out I was able to continue on my route of 512 miles with out having to fix nothing, this product kept everything in place. and saved me time and money. Before i would have had to go into breakdown mode and loose a lot of money just for a simple back window blowout. the Photos proves it
Very poor quality material

Product at end of row curls off the glass, making it a pain at the end. Other wise great. 9mils thick film on the windows does lose a slight amount of clarity.

Easy to install if you've installed window film before. You'll need a spray bottle of dish soap and water. A razor knife and plastic flat tool are included in the box. I would also recommend a small rubber squeegee to assist with mounting the product. I used this as a safety film on a couple close to the floor windows so as to resist shattering in case of impact. adherence seems very good compared to other window films I've used. Peeling the backing off is the most challenging part of the process. I recommend an extra set of hands to assist. It helps to be able to spray the soapy water on the film while peeling the backing off. I also recommend using a 4" razor scraper along with the soapy water to insure that all debris is removed from the glass making it SUPER clean before applying the film for best results. Spray window, scrape with razor, squeegee excess fluid, cleaning both tools as you go with each pass.

So this is one of those things that you hopefully won’t have to see in action. Wanted some protection/deterrent for a fire escape window in an apt.First- I would never recommend on a very visible window because it doesn’t come out terribly smooth looking. Prep/measure/cutting- easy. It does come w an exacto knife which was nice but I used sharp scissors and it cut way easier than the knife. I used the box it came in as a straight edge and marked off where to cut.Application- so I got to practice this five times because I applied film to 2 window panes inside and out and one mess up practice. The box (instructions are on the box printed) says the more water the more stick- this was not the case and I had to toss that one as it wasn’t sticking. I found it worked best to do an edge and work the film on the window and get out the air bubbles.Recommend another person to either hold the film or smooth it. Ironically the smoothest one was the first one w all the water but again useless bc it didn’t stick in the corners.Look- it’s kinda a hot mess. I’m not sure of a process you could get it totally smooth without some air bubbles or sticker marks on the window. Overall I’m hopeful they will stay on- time with tell with all the elements against the film. I’m glad I have a curtain that’s over this window so I don’t have to see it but also feel like I did something to help with security or peace of mind.

I wanted to make my basement windows more secure- they're small sliding windows. I figured a combination of sliding locks and this coating would be enough to motivate someone away from crawling through a broken window. Size- I had 6 windows (3 2-part windows) that measured 12x14.5" each. I had just enough to do all windows fully.I followed the directions fully- cleaned, scraped with a razor, cleaned again, sprayed soapy water on the window and the coating, and then applied. Everything would squeegee out nicely, but as they dried small bubbles would form, especially on the edges. I would keep removing them and they'd keep reappearing. One window was covered in small dimples, the other had a lot of bubbles around the edges, and the 3rd looked ok except for a few spots. There's no possible way you could do a larger window or door and have it come out perfect. Even a tiny spec of dust is going to leave a bubble. This reminds me of the plastic screen protectors for cell phones that just never went on without some bubbles. In the end, the coating did the job and I don't really care about the bubbles since it's a basement. But just be aware you might want to have it done professionally if it's a window you look out of every day.
