These are easy to install. Here's how:Warm them up. I left mine in the sun for a couple hours.Turn it inside out. Place the inside bottom against the end of the 2x4. Turn it right side out.That's it.These arrived a full week earlier than Amazon said they would.

This product worked as advertised. Though it seemed 2 were smaller than the other 2, as they came nested and they look a bit stretched out of shape once fitted. All were able to squeeze over the 2x4 end, with some help from a heat gun. The tight fit should protect the wood from moisture as intended.

Fits a standard 2X4 as described. With any plastic/rubber overfit, just warm it up and it will accommodate a tight fit. I put these in a pot of hot water for 15 min, took them out, dried them, and slipped them right on. Checked back in an hour (it's 50 deg outside) and they are snug. If you have a lose fit just use a dab of construction adhesive to help it stay put but you prob won't have that prob with the way these fit.

As suggested in instructions they needed to be heated (I just poured hot water over them) to make them flexible enough to fit. But once on they worked exactly as intended and stabilized an angled end of a 2x4 I was using as bench leg and meant I didn’t have to make a mitred saw cut.

These came VERY snug, but after soaking in warm water, I was able to get them on the 4x legs of the shelf I built. They will protect the open ends of the 2x4 from moisture and prevent deterioration from occurring. Crazy how hard it was to find a product that would do this! I think they're probably only worth $10-12, so they are a little overpriced.

Not sure if I got the wrong size or what but it will not fit on a standard 2x4. The ones I received are 3" long and won't stretch any further.

Don't know what the fuss is about. A bit pricey but a total niche product. These do exactly what I need them to and were so easy to install. Buying three more sets over time.
