I needed brackets to attach my wooden head and footboards to my new queen size metal bed frame. These brackets are solid steel and have a generous adjustment vertically and about an inch adjustment outward of the new frame, just right for using the existing wood headboard and footboard slots with the new metal bed frame.A tip - put the rounded part of the bolt next to the mattress and the nut closer to the headboard/footboard so the mattress will slide in later.A suggestion - the bolt could be much shorter so it doesn't hit the headboard/footboard.No instructions/tool provided in the box. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that when you add it to a frame that fits your mattress, it extends the distance to the head and footboard, which creates space between the boards and the mattress. For some people, that may not be an issue, but for me it is because it puts pressure on the opening in my head/foot boards. It causes the posts to tilt inward a bit. I was happy to find this product and it was quick shipping and packaged well, but the design needs to be adjusted slightly so that it doesn't add inches to each of the head and footboards.

The screws that secure the plates to the steel bedframe are too long and will mar the headboard. I chose to use them anyway.

They work as intended but are hard to tighten in the long term as they don't have a way to keep the bolt from spinning as you tighten the nut

I got these adapters to allow for bolting a hook-on headboard onto a newer bed frame that only supported bolt-on headboards. For my needs, it worked great and I don't have a headboard leaning on the wall anymore.First, these adapters are decently thick and rigid. This is important as many headboards are heavy and thin metal could bend. Their design also allows for a range of height options, which is useful as there isn't really a standard height of the rails on a frame.The main issue came when installing the brackets. My headboard had a horizontal bar across where the bracket would hook in. Since the adapter is supplied with machine screws to attach it to the frame, you need access to both sides to secure it. The bar on my headboard prevented access to the screw head side when it was hooked in. To install this, I hooked the adapters on the headboard, pushed them against the frame and marked the edge of the frame on the adapters. I could then install them on the frame at the right height and then lift the head of the frame into the headboard. If the screws were replaced with carriage bolts of the same length, this awkward process could be eliminated as the bolt could slot into the groove and stay still as the nut is tightened. I'm not going to dock any stars for this, as it's a pretty minor issue you'll only run into once, hopefully.
