These work fine to plug drain holes in a kayak. They aren't anything overly special but they do the trick for those that may need them. The little pull loop is a nice addition to get them out when you don't need them. I've seen other plugs that weren't exactly made like these. They weren't completely rubber like these. I think these will work much better than the other ones I've seen.

For Pennie’s on the dollar this fit my boat thruhull at 1/12” perfectly. It has held in place even below the waterline going 30 mph. The stainless one costs 60.$ these work just as well at a fraction of price and don’t protrude from the fitting like the more expensive T handle plug

These are a very simple product that does the trick! I go kayaking a good bit in Florida's backwaters and very rarely take any water over the top of the kayak. Because of this, I prefer to plug the holes to keep my stuff dry. In other words, I very rarely need to drain water out so there's not much point in having open holes in my kayak.

Make sure you measure before ordering as the ones I ordered were just barely too big unfortunately. However, they are good quality plugs and a good price.

I used these to plug up a drain hole on an inflatable canoe/kayak for which I'd lost the screw-on drain cap and could not get a proper size replacement. Even in a threaded opening, the plug held firmly and kept water out! The rubber is thick and heavy, for what it is. For a hard-bodied boat it should work great as well!

Measured the thru hull drain hole and made sure to order the right size, this is hard plastic and doesn't fit tightly in the hole. I kept them in case of an emergency but will not work for every day use
