I tried these after looking at the great review score, but I have to say that the ones I got are either broken, or junk. They make a constant clicking sound, like a machine gun, regardless of whether or not anything is moving anywhere near them. This sounds starts to fade as the battery drains itself from being constantly activated. Once the battery dies completely, it stops (of course). But then, even after sitting in the sun for a long time, it does not start to work again even if I jump up and down right in front of it. I know the battery isn't completely dead at that point, because I can turn it off and on again and it starts to work (briefly).

It is not what expected. Loose charge and it beeps non stop.

They malfunction in the rain, even when turned off. When off, they click and flash and still emit a whistle when wet. Also, do not buy if you have indoor animals. For the short time they worked (about a week) before it rained, they emitted a sound loud enough to irritate our indoor animals even though we placed them about 40 yards from our back porch. We scheduled a return, turned them off and packaged them, and can hear them clicking inside the box.
