I bought this to connect my Gamecube and Wii to the TV for some retro gaming and haven't had any issues with either system. Quality product overall for the price

Item was packaged well and arrived in a timely manner. Purchased this item to be able to use legacy RCA devices (DVD player/Laserdisc/VHS) in to our HDMI Smart TV. Item works as advertised.

As I should of figured . With my ps3 . Ps4 and ps5 on vizio tv I could typically just turn playstations on and tv would come on auto magically with turning the ps on . Finally, a company that hooks you up with the necessary extras! Not only does it work like a charm, but it came with a charging cable, a power brick, & a high quality hdmi cable! You Can't even get power bricks with cell phones anymore & they cost over 1K nowadays... The picture quality is great!

Used this on my new smart TV to attach a Wii, Game cube and old VCR. Picture is not great, but makes the Wii usable!! My daughter said she was not put off by the loss in picture quality (and that is good enough for me).

So I'm doing the VHS to digital thing. This little device, made by a company called LeBoen (don't worry it's Chinese), is what I use to take the analog video and audio signals from the VHS deck and digitize them to an HDMI output. This device is really for vintage "gamers"; to be able to plug their analog lo-def game consoles into their digital, hi-def monitors and flat screens. I don't use it for this so I cannot comment on how it works for that purpose. The consistently high ratings would suggest it doesn't do a half bad job of it. The manual aspect ratio allows the games to project as they did "back in the day" on 4:3 ratio CRT televisions. I suspect the only thing worse than a 4:3 aspect VHS movie stretched to 16:9 is having "Space Invaders" teased out to fit the "big screen". But I digress. Why I specifically purchased this box was because of the manual selection of output aspect ratios. You can manually set either 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios. The "cost" of selecting aspect ratios is the box only puts out 1080p. The converter is a simple black box not much bigger than a deck of cards. There are two mechanical push buttons on top of the converter; one to select the aspect ratio, the other to select #1 or #2 composite+audio inputs. There's an on/off power switch on the front side and a power plug for the 5V USB power source. The converter comes with a single RCA composite+audio (yellow, red, white) cable (~3') and a USB power cord (~3') with a "cellphone" charger cube. Icing on the cake in making the choice for this widget was consistently high marks from others who've bought it.Most of the composite+audio and composite/s-video+audio analog to digital converters output to a 16:9 aspect ratio; they do not support 4:3. Trust me, I've looked. If you're digitizing your VHS collection, these tapes were mostly done in 4:3 format so I don't want to covert them to 16:9; the conversion tends to look a little odd anyway. So I want to keep the digital copies in their original 4:3 aspect ratio and dig the retro moments. The other reason the selectable aspect ratios are useful has to do with the stand alone, HDMI, capture recording device I'm using; it's an HDMI pass through device. What that means is whatever aspect ratio it receives is what it outputs ...and records. It's actually quite a neat device on it's own:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08LPSG8CY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1So how does it work. Well, when you're talking a $24 analog/digital video converter, I'm not expecting perfection. And looking at it from that point of view, this device doesn't disappoint. In my setup the LeBoen feeds the Treaslin capture recording device, the output of which feeds my desktop monitor. Although the LeBoen converter provides a good signal for a very good recording, the biggest drawback is the picture appears washed out. There's no way you could take the raw recorded MP4 video file and use it as is. But then I'm not using the device for it's intended purpose. Fortunately, running the file through Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), a free, open source, video streaming software, allows me to easily tweak the color, sharpness and gamma settings and get a really nice picture. Which is why I gave it a 4-star rating for picture quality; the wash out of color was very easy to fix and when it was done, the image is impressive ...even from the standpoint of 1980's VHS. And with the minor picture adjustments I can make the DVD transfer or keep it on a thumb drive. Overall I'm very happy with the LeBoen converter especially since I can control my aspect point of view.

I've used the converter with my 2005 and 2014 sony camcorders for 11 music video performances right out the box and it was truly a time saver to be able to monitor my second and third cameras with this one converter. A wonderful accessory!
