These brackets are a little difficult to line up for installation. I used the holes from the previous brackets as reference, otherwise it would have been a major challenge. But they installed easily enough. There are holes for 4 screws per bracket, but only enough screws for 2 per bracket. No big deal, they seem to hold okay.Once the brackets were installed to the sofa, it took 3 people to get the sections of the sofa together - front, back and end. This was because the cushions have to squeeze together for the brackets to reach, and the brackets have to align just right in order to mate together. However, once it was assembled it holds really well. The sofa feels sturdier than new. I am happy with the purchase.

They are strong and sturdy and very easy to use. The only thing I don't like is that the width of metal pieces creates quite a gap between the sectional pieces, a little over one centimeter wide. It's not a problem where the sectional is against the wall and the cushions cover it anyway. But I have one part of the sectional where the back is fully exposed and I don't like to see a full centimeter space between the two pieces. It's wonderful not having the sectional pieces float away from each other. It seems ideal to have two connectors between the sectional pieces, one towards the back and one towards the front of the couch. Otherwise it creates a teeter-totter effect where one end is very close together and the other has a very large gap. With only one connector set it seems like the wood and screw connection would wear down quickly as well. If you have two sets then they are set securely.

I tried the ones that come with it and they were awful. So I then went with the kind that has the teeth and the triangle that clicks into place. Well they both were not secure and came apart frequently. The other kind that clicks into place move so the couch was never 90* (degrees). These give you enough room to align it visually and get tighter as it goes down. Also you don’t have to have the sections pushed together so tight that you cannot see to connect them, which is so much easier than the any other type. I would recommend these connectors, especially if you’ve got a sectional.
