Had a gm mechanic install the gears on Wednesday. He adjusted them as best he could to be as quiet as he could. They do make a high pitched noise when accelerating but it really can't be heard over the radio or with a window down. He suggested breaking them in and then using a thicker gear oil which may quiet them down even more. My truck had factory 3.08 gears so this was a huge jump but they do what I intended them to do which was stop the constant downshifting. For my application a 3.73 would have probably been a better choice but I wanted to put a non factory option in. Make sure you have some form of tuner to let the computer know the gears have been changed. All in all they are good for the money and as long as they last I'm happy with them.
