My family was in need of a new security system as our last one quit working one day. We had a decent system but noticed that after some time using it, some of those features that lured us in at the time of purchasing it, no longer performed as well. I decided to go ahead and look for a better alternative/replacement. After some research and searching, I came across this 4K security system that included 2 TB HDD. Based on the features, this system includes a total of four cameras- this seemed like a logical replacement and upgrade. I ordered this and now that I have this home and set up, I can attest to the high quality of this security system Below, I will outline some of the other features that led me to choose this one over other similar ones on the market.*Design: (4) 4K High Definition Cameras- 2 TB HDD - IP67 Water resistant- AI Human Vehicle Detection*Function: operates as it should. Camera quality is clear - great visuals and is designed to be "vandalproof"*Night Vision capability*Audio Recording* 8 Channels*2.8mm fixed lens*100 Ft night vision range*Dimensions for your reference: 11.81" x 14.56 " x 9.05"All in all, I find that the designer did a nice job creating this set. The cameras are made with premium grade material and feel durable. I did not encounter any technical issues that would otherwise lessen the overall value. Therefore, based on a positive experience- I would recommend this to other consumers. Thanks for reading my review. I hope it was informative and helpful. :)

This is a great all in one NVR Security camera package for home or commercial use. The system is complete and requires no additional parts other than a monitor to view and setup so you’re ensured compatibility.Below I’ll break down the systemDVR/NVR - This is where your recordings are stored, it comes with the hard drive installed so all you have to do is plug it in and you can be up and running in 5-10 minutes. The software is fairly easy to navigate even for non technical users. 4 cameras are included with the ability to add more. Comes with all the normal features as well as human/motion detection so you don’t have to scroll through all the videos searching for an event.Software - the software is solid, no gotchas here. It’s easy to navigate even for a novice. The part I liked best about it is that it doesn’t require cloud access. There is of course that option should you need to monitor cameras remotely. I’m using this for home use and am uncomfortable exposing the recordings to a cloud service with somewhat questionable origins. That being said, without cloud access, you can view the console from any computer on your local network via a web browser. Alternatively the hardware itself has a HDMI output that can be connected to any monitor or TV. It even comes with a wired mouse so you have everything needed to set up (no keyboard required). Another great feature of the software is that it will output an ONVIF compliant video stream to other devices on your network. This is good for backup of the DVR or if you use some other NVR software. I output the streams to my Synology NAS and they were automatically detected by Surveillance Station.Cameras - it comes with 4 standard PoE IP Dome cameras. I’d say the cameras are medium quality. They are mounted in an outdoor dome enclosure, you can point and focus them manually, no PTZ function is available. They have IR LEDs for night vision capability. These work great and the quality is good for most situations, they’re what you would expect from security camera footage.Overall this is a great bundle at a fair cost considering that no other parts are needed other than the monitor. So far the software has been rock solid. The unit itself did great through several electrical storms I had, and recovered from power failures without intervention. Recommended 5 star buy

This 4K security camera system from 4COVR is a good value for all that you get in the kit. The NVR uses a very standard board which features the Mstar SSR621Q CPU. This CPU is used across many different Chinese brands of NVRs. The logo on the chip I am not familiar with and perhaps is a clone of the Mstar chip or it’s just another logo they are using. The only area of concern that I had when I opened the NVR was the lack of any heatsinks or fans for cooling. Every other NVR I have opened had at least a heatsink on the CPU and often had more than one heatsink as well as a fan. So far, I have not had any overheating issues, but I may end up being proactive and adding a heatsink to the CPU. The HDD inside the case is a Seagate SkyHawk Lite which is intended for NVRs so that is a plus. The user interface is the same as most other NVRs evaluated which is not a surprise given the similar hardware as well. I was surprised to see that the kit comes with a rather extensive user manual compared to most products these days. The dome cameras support PoE and have good video quality with a rating of 8MP. The cameras are listed as "vandal proof", I am not sure to what standard that is evaluated. The four cameras in the kit are a nice start but most likely after getting those installed you will quickly find a need for more, luckily the NVR supports up to eight cameras.Overall, this is a genuinely nice package for a reasonable price. My only complaint would be the lack of any heat management in the NVR which is out of the ordinary when you look at remarkably similar hardware.
