The motor cover caps protect the motors from outside debris. They are easy to install. They give drone owner peace of mind when flying the drone.

Worked for a while, but then noticed the props were starting to become loose. It’s a good thing I pre-flight before every launch; otherwise, this may have ended up catastrophically. The housing screws seem to stay in place, but the prop screws seem to get stripped, becoming ‘wobbly’. I super-glued the base of each of the prop screws (hopefully, not adding too much weight to the prop itself - i was very careful in only using a tiny amount). Will see how secure the props stay in the coming days…if they become loose again then I will abandon these prop covers altogether, and look for a more viable solution elsewhere.

This is a great product that was doing very well for me and protecting the motors on my blades but what I didn’t know was the tiny screws holding the covers down can come loose and during flight will fall off an alarming speed causing the drone to crash.

Only concern I have is it raises the blades quite a bit. If you store your DJI with a propeller strap, it puts a lot of pressure on the blades I don’t know yet if these sit long if it will warp the blades.But it looks like it may we will see and hopefully not or I better take stock in replacement blades

Wish DJI would cover these from factory. Don’t care for them being aluminum much since this drone is designed for lightweight but it does protect. Got caught in the rain once on my mini 2 and these help keep the motors completely dry.
