I bought these for installing receptacles in our new kitchen. I am using hospital-grade receptacles, which require more force to insert/remove a plug. I wanted to ensure the receptacles did not move outward when unplugging an appliance. They appear to do the job. Time will tell how sturdy they are after repeated use.

I had a pair of 3 gang boxes which had lots of motion on the side not attached to the stud making it difficult to install a Claro screw less switch plate and have it hug the wall. After unmounting the outboard switch, these slid right in outside the box, and once the far end of the box was inset properly, it was easy to bend the metal tabs to lock the box in place and prevent it from sliding out as the switches and cover were tightened.These installs ended up next to dimmers which connected electricallyfrom the back so there was no short risk after the install. But if there is going to be a switch with hot wires next to the inside tabs its probably a good idea to protect the side of the switch with electrical tape just in case.
