Refrigerator test method: Hold the sides of the cooling chip with one hand, and press the wires of the cooling chip against the poles of the battery with the other hand. The red wire is pressed on the positive electrode, and the black wire is pressed on the negative electrode. If one side is slightly cold and the other side is slightly warm, it means that the cooling plate can work normally.
Tip: The working state is heating and cooling. When the cooling part begins to work, the hot surface must dissipate heat well. The heat sink cannot be powered on for more than 2 seconds. The power supply of the hot and cold exchange should be carried out when the hot and cold side is restored to room temperature, which is generally greater than 5 minutes, otherwise it is easy to cause damage to the refrigeration chip circuit and the ceramic plate.

Had a can cooler unit that died recently and ended up tracing the issue back to the peltier element. Order this as a replacement and it installed and is functioning great! The drinks from the can cooler are as cold as they were when I first bought it!

The 12715 doesn't follow the datasheet whatsoever. It behaves more like a 12706. I think the supplier has relabeled them and are selling them under a false product number.

Work great, average temperature difference between sides is 25-30°F. Great for all types of projects.
