Operation instructions:
1. Power on: Turn on the knob, the indicator light flashes quickly 3 times and then stays on, and the power is successfully turned on.
2. Power off: Turn off the knob.
3. Welding: Place two soldering pens on the nickel sheet, press and hold the foot switch, and the red light flashes quickly 3 times, then output current once to complete welding.
4. The knob can adjust the output current. The larger the value, the higher the output.
Note:
1. Avoid using while charging, otherwise it is easy to damage the battery. 2. When the temperature of the soldering pen is too high, please use it after cooling.
3. Please charge it in time when the voltage is lower than 7.3V.
4. Please use it in an ambient temperature between 10 degrees and 65 degrees. No water is allowed. Please understand the operating instructions before using this machine.
Precautions for use:
1. Place the nickel sheet on the lithium battery, use the 18650 battery clamp to move and align the nickel sheet, and press the foot pedal to complete the welding.
2. When welding, be sure to press the nickel sheet and the battery with two needles.
3. The welding pen tips cannot touch each other.
4. According to the welding effect of the actual product, the welding parameters can be adjusted in a targeted manner until a satisfactory welding effect is achieved.
5. If there is obvious carbon deposit on the welding needle, please use sandpaper or file to wipe it off.

Great portable unit, strong welds for 0.15 strips, but not very capable at higher thicknesses. I found the best settings depend greatly on distance between welding contacts and substrate — higher settings will be required for welding to cell caps than to existing strips in batteries being repaired.Review and instruction videos found online show a similar design, but many safety and durability improvements have been made to the design, including the removable welding leads (a MASSIVE improvement over older designs of similar construction, which had the cable welded directly to the cell tabs). Overall a significantly improved product compared to what I'd seen in older videos and reviews of similar offerings.
