I had an older Carvin guitar with a scratchy pot from doing too much Jeff Beck stuff. This installed easy enough and fixed the annoying scratchy noise. So, it works without having to spend ridiculous cash for the exact same item from a high mark-up Luthier. Just make sure your soldering skill are up to the task. Abrade, clean, flux and work fast, grasshopper.

These are pretty good potentiometers! I ordered one 500k audio and one 500k linear. Both worked properly, once installed, and within variance. My audio pot measured 508k ohms, while my linear pot measured 502k ohms. The lugs on them seem to be a little longer, which makes it easier to solder to the top of the pot casing, which is pretty cool. Their description is correct. You will want to use the linear pot for your volume and the audio pot for your tone for even roll off. I know it seems backwards, but it works!

Smooth, quality feel, reminds me of 'cTs' level stuff. Worth twice the price!

Pretty good potentiometers overall. Very smooth and quiet, but the taper is a little extreme - even for A or log pots. Almost all the change is between 7 and 10. Good for volume swells and high gain perhaps, but otherwise takes some getting used to. I’m going to leave them in my guitar, but next time I think I’ll go back to CTS pots.

I am very, very very impressed with both the audio taper and the linear taper versions of these!!They are are dead silent, incredibly smooth and the way it uses a snap ring to limit the travel and stop damage to the wiper, etc. appears it is going to work very very well for a very long time.Only thing to keep in mind is with the solid shafts (like most) they might vary slightly in size from what you have now.I rebuild an Ibanez Prestige and I had to file the body out slightly for these (width of the threaded section and drill inside of the (brass) knobs but I had planned on this.. even if you had not, it is NOT a big deal at all..I am VERY happy with these and will be using them from now on!
